Suzuki Music Classes

FOR PARENT & BABY

Music Ignites Early Learning

Picture
Suzuki Early Childhood Education (SECE) Music Classes are designed to be a catalyst for educating a child from birth up to age 4, using music as a vehicle to develop social, communicative and musical skills. These classes can also lay the foundation for Suzuki instrumental lessons.

Every Child Can Learn

Picture
Based on the belief that each child has unlimited potential to learn, and can do so easily when parent and teacher work as a team to create a positive and nurturing environment, children inevitably develop abilities from a young age. It is not uncommon to see SECE students keep a steady beat by the age of one, sing in tune by the age of two, and start instrumental study by the age of three.

Why Parents Matter

Picture
There is an implicit belief in the Suzuki Education method that the parent is critical to the development of their own child. The weekly one-hour SECE class provides an atmosphere where the parent can hone the support of their developing child. Over the the years of participation, parents become excellent observers of not only their own child, but keen observers of the others in the class. Parents become adept at recognizing the small achievements and milestones that are gradually developing in their own child. This establishes an invaluable bond between parent and child and leaves the child with a strong foundation for learning.

I would teach children music, physics, and philosophy; but most importantly music, for the patterns in music and the arts are the keys to learning."    -Plato
